A 1960’s black slubbed fabric suit, in excellent condition. The false pockets and collar are beaded, and the skirt is unlined. The buttons are self fabric covered. The material is imitation dupioni silk, but is likely polyester. The jacket lining is also synthetic, possibly a nylon. The tags inside reads Lloyd’s, Monarch and there is a union label.
The skirt closes at the side with am metal zipper and hook/eye at the waistband. There is a small mended spot on the jacket, where the fabric ripped or frayed and was stitched up with black thread.
The suit is shown on a size 12 mannequin, and the jacket measures 43” bust, 40” waist, 16” long sleeves, 25” in center back length. The skirt measures 25” in length, 31” waist, 41” hips.
