1970's Vintage Red Native Inuit Torbay Newfoundland Embroidered Parka with Coyote Fur Ruff
A 1970's red Inuit embroidered wool parka, in very good condition. The colouring has faded slightly with age, and the embroidery has some slight surface wear.
The pelt looks to be coyote, and has a few flaws due to the age of the pelt. The sleeves are finished with grey ribbed cuffs.
The coat is lined with red waxed polycotton material, likely for waterproofing. The coat is tagged inside with the maker's name, and was made in Torbay, NL.
It fits a modern size 10-12, and measures 43" across chest, 24" long sleeves, 34" in length from nape of neck to hem.
