Early 1950’s Lace Rhinestoned Wedding Dress with Crinoline
An early 1950’s lace wedding dress, in good condition, with a specifically fitted tulle crinoline. The bodice resembles 1940’s styles, suggesting that it is an early design.
The skirt is lined first with stiffened cheese cloth, then synthetic satin, then the lace overskirt, embellished with rhinestones. The edges are trimmed in slim lace trim.
A few rhinestones are missing, and the back of the collar is a bit stained. The crinoline is cut in three layers, quite synthetic, and with a stretchy waistband, darted at the waist and side seams. One layer of tulle.
The sleeves are lined with netting, but it’s quite frayed, and would benefit complete removal.
The crinoline measures 24” waist, 34” hips, the skirt measures 31” bust, 25” waist, 37” hips, 24” sleeve, 60” length. The crinoline is worn quite high on the waist to avoid peeking out of the hem of the dress.
