Late 1940’s Black Crepe Party Dress with Tucks in Skirt and Keyhole Neckline
A late 1940’s to early 1950’s black crepe party dress with tucks in the skirt and sleeves. The back of the skirt finishes with a swallowtail gore. It closes up the back with a brass zipper. The collar is finished with a black glass button, the keyhole neckline looks like a later addition.
The dress has had some repairs, particularly to the underarms due to damage. There are a couple of small rips to the shoulders.
It fits a modern size 2, 32.5” bust, 28” waist, 35” hips, 9” long sleeve, and measures 45” from nape of neck to hem.
