1790's Early Regency Style Yellow Williamsburg Bird and Floral Print Cotton Day Dress with Belt and Cotton Fichu
A 1790's early regency style handmade cotton day dress, with linen lining and a front lacing bodice. The skirt is slightly trained, and unlined, with a self fabric faced hem.
The material is replica Colonial Williamsburg print quilting cotton fabric, produced by Windham Fabrics. The belt is vintage drapery material, the shell belt buckle is antique. The dress is front lacing with hand worked buttonholes. The ribbon lacing is vintage and synthetic.
The sample dress fits a modern size 12-14 and when laced shut measures 38" bust, 36" waist, hips free. It measures 52" in length down centre from the top of the lacing to the hem, 67" in length down centre back, and has 22" long slightly bent sleeves.
