1800's Early Regency Style Red Velvet and White Linen Trimmed Regency Trained Court Gown Formal Dress with Linen Bodiced Petticoat
An 1800's early Regency style handmade cotton velvet formal court dress, with cotton lining and two hooks and eyes for closure in the back at the neckline and waistband. The skirt is trained, and unlined. The sleeves have fitted linings. The ribbon trim on the dress is vintage rayon, dating to the 1940's, the interior waistband and hem are finished with red cotton twill tape.
The bodiced petticoat is linen, with cotton twill tapes for seam finishing and drawstring closures.
Please note that it is shown on a modern mannequin without undergarments (chemise, stays, petticoat etc), and measurements should take these into account.
The sample dress fits a modern size 10-12 as shown. As displayed it measures 40" bust, 34" waistband(below bust), hips free, 62" in length from nape of neck to hem(the train is 7"). The petticoat also fits a size 10-12, and measures 58" in length from nape of neck to hem.
