1870's Red-Green Shot Silk Ladies Button Front Bodice With Black Glass Beaded Trim
A late 1860's to early 1870's red-green shot silk taffeta ladies bodice, in very good condition. There are some frayed spots on the neckline and cuffs, as well as wear to the trim. The sleeves are straight cut with small puffs at the shoulders.
The buttons are black fabric covered, and the one at the waist is missing. The one at the top was likely left off so a collar and/or brooch could be attached.
The bodice is flatlined with beige waxed cotton, and is partially boned as shown.
It is unable to be buttoned on a size 0 mannequin as shown.
