1890’s Belle Époque Brown Fox Fur Muff with Head and Tail Attached
An 1890’s to 1900s espresso brown fox fur muff, quite large and in excellent condition. One of the glass eyes is chipped as shown, and the fabric looks worn off the metal nose. One small section looks shaved down, likely to avoid bulk. Otherwise, the pelt shows no signs of shedding/cracking, and has been well stored.
The muff looks to be feather stuffed, for warmth and shaping.
The lining is espresso brown velvet, which is also in excellent condition.
It measures 13.5” across, with a 30” outer circumference, and has 3.5” across openings.
