1890's Black Velvet Beaded Circle Cape with Checkered Lining
An 1890's black velvet circle cape with surface passementerie and beading, and a checkered cotton lining.
The condition is excellent, the cotton binding has been replaced as there was previous damage. There is some rust staining and wear to the lining. The cape secures at the neck with a hook and eye set. There is a small pocket in the lining as shown.
The cape is shown on a modern size 0, but likely fits most sizes.
