1890's Burgundy Velvet Ladies Bodice With Self Covered Buttons and Ruffled Collar
An 1890's burgundy silk velvet ladies bodice, in very good condition. It has had some restoration/repairs including: replacing/reattaching missing/damaged boning, mending holes in the velvet, reattaching portions of the collar ruffle, reattaching one of the buttons and reattaching the binding in the back of the bodice.
The lining looks to be a lightweight beige wool. The buttons are self covered, and show wear from use. The buttonholes are handworked.
It is quite small, likely a size 00-0.
