1890's Style Handmade Purple and Black Cotton Ladies Walking Ensemble with Velvet Lapels and Passementerie Embellishment
An 1890's inspired handmade ladies walking ensemble, with hand stitched passementerie motifs, and a ruffled/tabbed hem. The design draws inspiration from a Janet Arnold pattern, as well as extant pieces from the era.
The outfit is constructed in eggplant purple cotton broadcloth, with black cotton lining. The lapels are vintage black velvet.
The bodice is fully boned, with herringbone stitching and pinked seams. The black glass buttons are antique, the buttonholes are hand worked.
