Antique Salmon Silk Victorian Parasol with Restored Cover
A late victorian parasol frame, likely 1890-1900 with a restored cover due to severe damage to the original. The frame is in excellent condition, only a small crack in the knotted wood handle and a letter P etched in the metal cap (likely done years ago).
The silk used is all hand stitched, the texture stubbed and the colour between salmon and rust. The parasol closes with a self fabric strap and antique German glass button. The black ribbon trim is vintage rayon, likely from the 1940's.
The frame is metal, painted black.
The ribs are 26.5" in length, with a 54" diameter. The parasol is 38" in length end to end when closed.
