Recovered 1880's Blue Shot Silk Dupioni Lace Trimmed Small Fashion Parasol with Carved Wooden Handle
A restored Victorian era parasol, with a new fully hand stitched and lace trimmed shot dupioni silk canopy. The frame has no rust or significant damage, apart from some finish wear due to age and slight curving of the frame from use. The handle is carved wood.
The original canopy was replaced due to the fabric splitting in multiple sections, and being beyond repair. The wooden finial was reattached and glued, due to splitting.
The new canopy is Silk Baron dupioni, in their Celestial Blue. The lace trim is antique and cotton, likely turn of the century.
The parasol measures 22.5 end to end , with eight metal ribs that measure 11” in length.
