Recovered 1880s Victorian Blue Silk Covered Carriage Style Tilt and Fold Parasol
A restored Victorian era carriage parasol, with a restored shot blue and red silk with a blue cotton lining. The spokes are metal, the handle is wooden. The ruffle around the edge is self fabric, the canopy was machine assembled, the trim and attachment were hand sewn.
The frame has minor rust and wear due to age and slight curving of the frame from use. The hinges are brass as show.
The original canopy was replaced due to the fabric splitting in multiple sections, and being beyond repair.
The parasol measures 26” end to end fully extended, with eight ribs that measure 9” in length without the ruffles.
