1860's Victorian Chain Stitch Embroidered Scalloped Edge Carriage Walking Miniature Parasol
An antique fully original 1860's era cream cotton parasol with chainstitch embroidery in fair condition. Much of the stitching is worn away, and the fabric is fairly discoloured as shown. The handle is lacquered wood, the spokes appear to be metal. The parasol is not folding or tilting.
It measures 25.5" in length end to end, the eight spokes are 9.5" in length. We have a number of other parasols in stock, mostly restored with redone covers.
