Handmade 1830's Style Royal Blue Velvet Ballgown with Black Lace and Ribbon Trim
An early 1830’s inspired handmade royal blue cotton velvet ball gown, with vintage 1930’s rayon ribbon trim and cotton lace edging. The dress closes up the back, with large vintage hooks and eyes. The ribbon belt belt closes with an antique mother of pearl shell buckle.
The bodice is lined with white linen, and the neckline is faced with blue cotton. The skirt is unlined, with selvage edges left intact on the seams. The cartridge pleating is all hand stitched, at the sleeves and waistband.
